A piece of Freeway 400 south of Barrie was closed for a number of hours Monday morning following a multi-vehicle deadly collision involving a pedestrian.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt stated a southbound car broke down and stopped in a dwell lane of visitors in a development zone close to Innisfil Seaside Highway in Innisfil, and the motive force bought out.
“There’s actually no shoulder to talk of in that space. As the motive force was exiting the car, my understanding is that they have been struck by a passing car,” Schmidt stated in a video posted to social media.
Schmidt later clarified the person was getting again into his car when he was hit by a passing pickup truck.

Police say a 63-year-old man from Barrie was pronounced useless on the scene. His passenger was unhurt.
The driving force and passenger of the pickup truck have been additionally unhurt.
The realm was closed for practically six hours for the investigation. It has since reopened.
