Police say 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted Sept. 19 in southeast Edmonton

Edmonton police are in search of a suspect within the reported sexual assault of an 11-year-old woman in southeast Edmonton this week.

Police say the woman was strolling residence along with her bicycle within the Fountain Lake neighbourhood close to 43 Avenue and 33 Road between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when she was pulled right into a white van by a person and sexually assaulted.

After the reported assault, police say the suspect pushed the woman out of the car and took off.

The suspect is described as male, 25 to 35 years previous, with a brown or tanned complexion, 5’9″ or 5’10”, with darkish, prickly hair and a small patch of facial hair beneath his backside lip.

He was sporting a black shirt, darkish gray pants and white sneakers on the time of the assault.

The Little one Safety Part has taken management of the investigation, and the woman is presently receiving help from the Zebra Little one Safety Centre

Police are asking residents within the Fountain Lake and Larkspur space to examine their residence and enterprise video cameras for potential pictures of the suspect car driving within the space between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
