The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a collection of break-ins throughout Kitchener and Waterloo.
Since Sept. 13 the Break, Enter and Automobile Theft (BEVT) Staff has investigated 9 break-and-enters at residences in the course of the in a single day hours.
In a single case, in the course of the in a single day hours of Sept. 21, a suspect or suspects went inside a residence by way of an unlocked door within the space of Rolling Meadows Drive and Cumberland Place in Kitchener.
The suspect or suspects stole private gadgets and money.
In all cases they acquired inside by way of an unlocked door and went after money and electronics.
The opposite incidents occurred within the following areas:
- Hidden Valley Street and Paddock Courtroom, Kitchener
- Breckenridge Drive and Gibson Drive, Kitchener
- Lorraine Avenue and Montcalm Drive, Kitchener
- Spruce Avenue and Hickory Avenue West, Waterloo
- Lester Avenue and College Avenue West, Waterloo
- Ladyslipper Drive and Mountain Holly Courtroom, Waterloo
- Westcourt Place and Westmount Street North, Waterloo (two incidents)
Police didn’t say whether or not any, or all, of the incidents are believed to be related.
They’re encouraging folks to maintain all doorways locked, even when house, and to report any suspicious exercise.
