Veltman trial, day 12: Jury hears from forensic identification officer

The trial of Nathaniel Veltman, who has been accused of deliberately placing a London, Ont. Muslim household along with his pick-up truck, enters its third week Monday because the Crown continues to name witnesses.

Veltman, 22, is going through 4 counts of homicide and one rely of tried homicide in relation to the deaths of the Afzaal household. Hehas pleaded not responsible to all prices.

5 members of the Afzaal household, had been out for a stroll on June 6, 2021 in London, Ont. after they had been struck by a pick-up truck.

Grandmother Talat, 74, her son Salman, 46, his spouse Madiha, 44 and their daughter Yumnah, 15, had been all killed. Their nine-year-old son, suffered critical accidents however has since recovered.

The Crown has known as Det. Const. Chris Thomas, a forensic identification officer with the London Police Service to testify Monday.
