A girl and her cat turned trapped on a third-floor balcony when a hearth broke out at an East Vancouver residence constructing Sunday afternoon.
Vancouver Hearth Rescue Providers was known as to the constructing close to 2nd Avenue and McLean Drive round 3:45 p.m. after an unintentional kitchen fireplace sparked, Asst. Chief Keith Stewart instructed CTV Information. He mentioned 27 firefighters have been despatched to the scene.
Crews rescued each the girl and her feline good friend.
The girl acquired some burns and was taken to hospital for therapy, Stewart mentioned.
Happily, no one was displaced by the fireplace and just one suite was impacted, in response to Stewart.
