On May 21, Hargitay posted a video on Instagram from the set of Law & Order: Organized Crime, where she was shooting scenes in a hospital. She used the opportunity to address rumors and clarify that she was not hospitalized for her injuries.
“I’m shooting in a hospital, which made me want to tell everybody,” Hargitay said. “’Cause I’m reading all these crazy headlines. I was not hospitalized. I did break my knee two weeks ago. And then I was up on it unfortunately. But then I went to get an MRI, and that’s when I learned that I had a broken knee and some other issues. But what I want to say if I’m great, I’m wearing a fantastic brace. I was never hospitalized, and I think people didn’t know what happened. But I just don’t want anyone to worry about me, and I’m fine. And I want to thank you for the incredible outpouring of care and concern and love. And anyway, happy Friday. Sending big love to all of you. Bye.”
