‘Half-baked’ Greggs confuses Richmond, Yorkshire with Richmond Upon Thames in pictures in bakery

reggs has apparently confused Richmond, North Yorkshire with Richmond-Upon-Thames in footage of the London borough displayed of their Yorkshire bakery.

The confusion was noticed on Monday by locals who visited the North Yorkshire retailer after its revamp and observed the depiction of the Thames.

Greggs’ black and white images within the Market Retailer bakery have since been eliminated. The chain has confronted mockery for mixing up the 2 areas separated by round 240 miles and with a driving distance simply wanting 5 hours.

Greggs have been contacted for remark.

The Liberal Democrat MP for Richmond Upon Thames, Sarah Olney joked: “If I used to be the native MP for Richmond (Yorks) I’d be livid…”

The displayed footage, exhibiting boats on the Thames river and indicators pointing to Kew Gardens, have attracted a mix of amusement and sarcasm from social media customers.

One X (Twitter) person stated: “Gotta love the company idiots @GreggsOfficial for complicated the wonderful Richmond, North Yorkshire with the southern imposter that’s Richmond , Surrey. Subsequent they are going to be complicated their sausage rolls with precise meals!”

Former Northern Echo editor Peter Barron wrote: “Half-baked…Greggs have managed to confuse Richmond, North Yorkshire, with Richmond upon Thames. It’s solely 250 miles away.”

Many have steered the scenario is perhaps remedied with footage of the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s constituency in Richmond, Yorkshire being put up in a Greggs within the London borough.

In a sequence of posts praising North Yorkshire sights together with Richmond Fortress and Georgian Theatre Royal, one X person stated: “Only a thought @GreggsOfficial why not put up footage of Richmond North Yorkshire in your Richmond upon Thames department? Unfold the love.”
