former Metropolitan Police constable is due in court docket following an investigation by a watchdog into an allegation he abused his place for a sexual objective.

Daniel Humphreys, 37, is charged with two counts of misconduct in public workplace and can seem earlier than Westminster Magistrates’ Court docket in London on Monday, the Impartial Workplace for Police Conduct (IOPC) stated.

It launched its investigation in April 2022 after receiving a compulsory referral from the Met.

“In December 2022 we accomplished our investigation and despatched a file of proof to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorised the costs,” an IOPC spokesperson stated.

Humphreys was primarily based on the pressure’s central north command, the police watchdog stated.

The Met Police stated Humphreys was positioned on restricted duties in June 2022 and has since resigned.
